The Experience: Own music and journey to ancient Palestine

The streets and squares of the town are completely transformed with decorations to transport the visitor to the ancient Palestine of 2,000 years ago. The three main distinguishing features of this nativity scene is:

  • Live Voice and Own Oratory: The nativity scene is accompanied by the work "Nadal, El Pessebre Vivent dels Prats de Rei", composed for orchestra, choirs and soprano by Mons. Valentine Miserachs In addition, the actors do not mime, but interpret the text aloud.
  • Old Offices Street: A meticulous staging that reproduces historical crafts that have practically disappeared, such as the basket maker, the potter and the cobbler.
  • Animals in natural habitat: A great appeal for children, who will be able to see chickens, ducks, donkeys in the stable and sheep with lambs integrated into the streets of the old town.

Where to eat: bars and local restaurants

Els Prats de Rei is a small and charming town, which is why the range of restaurants within the town itself is limited. If you want to grab a bite or something hot before or after the show, you have these local options:

  • Bar Baños: One of the most popular options and highly rated by customers on the promenade itself, ideal for a sandwich or a drink with good treatment (Pg. de Josep Maria Llobet, 22).
  • Oppidum: An alternative close to the promenade itself if you are looking for a bar where you can hide and have a coffee (Pg. de Josep Maria Llobet, 20).

Expert tip: If you intend to have a large sit-down meal with the whole family, we recommend that you search for a restaurant and book in advance in the larger surrounding towns, such as Calf (less than 10 minutes by car).
